Heyman, who performs as Chloe Christine, is a self-taught guitarist and often gigs throughout the region.
Heyman attended the CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth last year, where she learnt about songwriting, musicianship and stage presence.
“I started singing country music when I was eight or nine, because I did eisteddfods around Wollongong and the judges told me I had a country twang in my voice,” she said.
“I’ve just loved it ever since.
The 15-year-old Woonona resident has self-released her debut single No One Cares.
“I’m not talking about a certain person in the song, but I’m trying to get the point across that no one cares if you have fancy hair, the best clothes, perfect make-up,” she said. “You’ve just got to be yourself, because no one really cares about that stuff.”
